Peter C. Akerley, President and CEO of Canada’s Erdene Resource Development Corporation, has issued a letter to investors emphasizing that the company’s Bayan Khundii Gold Project in Mongolia is nearing the production stage.
He noted, “Bayan Khundii is a world-class, high-grade, open-pittable gold project with relatively low all-in sustaining costs per ounce. As we approach first production, and with gold prices reaching historic highs, this presents a unique opportunity for our shareholders to benefit directly from the rising gold market.”
Key Highlights of the Project:
Revenue from operations will be used to finance expanded exploration and development in the Khundii Minerals District.
Since the beginning of 2025, Erdene Resource Development’s share price has surged by approximately 60%, while the price of gold has increased by around 28%, reaching USD 3,330 per ounce. The company noted that this growth enhances the project’s competitiveness and lays a solid foundation for strong returns to investors.
Erdene Resource Development conducts exploration and mining activities for precious and base metals in southwestern Mongolia. The company is dual-listed on both the Toronto and Mongolian stock exchanges and is committed to transparency and long-term value creation.
