Inviting you to the biggest annual joint event of the Mongolian geology, mining, and oil sectors

The new year will begin with a bang for the Mongolian Geology, Mining and Oil sectors. ‘Mongolian Minerals, Oil Forum’, their gest joint event ever, and the first of what is planned as an annual event in the global calendar, will be held in the third week of January, with support from the Government.
“Many smaller events pertaining to investment in the geology and mining sectors are regularly held, but the Mongolian Minerals, Oil Forum (MMOF) will be more important than any of them, both because of its greater range of coverage and plans for after-forum follow-up action,” Minister of Mining D.Gankhuyag has noted.

The practice so far has been for Mongolian delegations to attend similar events in Canada, Australia, and other countries with a rich mining history, but now the trend promises to be reversed as this showpiece event will draw participants from foreign countries to Mongolia.

Please register by going to www.mongolianmineralsoilforum.com. For more information about registration and others, please contact Mongolian Mining Journal (info@mongolianminingjournal.com). The journal management is member of the working group responsible for the forum and has been given full charge of media relations.

The forum will be held over three days at Mongolia’s first Convention Centre, which meets all international standards for the venue of an event of such magnitude.

Apart from the main plenary, there will be arrangements for

Smaller group meetings,
Specialised business meetings,
Project introductions,
Signing ceremonies for any project,
Display of products and services at
exhibition halls,
Professional training, and
Cultural shows.

The tentative agenda for the forum includes:

Presentations by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Mining on the prevailing situation and the near term outlook in the geology, mining, and oil sectors; and changes in the legal environment
Ministerial-level presentations on infrastructure and environmental issues
Interactive session where governors of aimags and soums will exchange information and compare experience
Presentation of information by professional associations in the geology, mining and oil sectors on types of training they can provide
Interactive meetings of investors and businesses, allowing exchange of information and  opinion
Presentations by analysts and experts
Regional-level discussions
‘Open hour’ for domestic and foreign media organisations
Displays in the exhibition hall

Over 1,000 representatives of foreign and domestic companies are expected to attend. A working group headed by the Minister of Mining is putting the final touches to planning and preparatory work.
Apart from periodic briefings, contents of presentations and summarised proceedings of MMOF 2015 will be made available so that delegates as well as others interested in starting a new project will have relevant data in hand.
The working group invites you to attend this major event in the Mongolian geology, mining and oil sectors.
