Erdene Resource Development Corp. has announced that it has completed a review and interpretation of previous drilling results and designed the next phase of the programme atAltan Nar. This is expected to be under way by the first week of April. Erdene discovered the Altan Nar gold-silver prospect in 2011 during a regional exploration programme on its tenement blocks, covering approximately 200,000 hectares in southwestern Mongolia.
The additional drilling to test zones already found to be mineralised and other gold-silver targets will begin once more detailed geochemical and geophysical surveys are completed. The focus will be on delineating grade and vertical extent of the Discovery Zone mineralisation followed by regional target testing. As results from the phase one drill programme provide confidence, the programme will shift into defining the dimensions of the Discovery Zone and additional areas being further advanced through the regional target testing. The drill programme will be carried out in three phases.
